MH&W's line of powdered cores are available in Molybdenum Permalloy (MPP), High Flux and Sendust materials. All powdered cores have distributed air gaps providing for low losses at high frequencies. Small evenly distributed air gaps throughout the cores increase the amount of DC current that can pass through the windings before saturation occurs. These cores are typically used in applications that require low losses and inductance stability under high bias conditions.
MPP cores are excellent low-loss inductors for switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), switching regulators and noise filters. High Flux and Sendust cores are excellent choices for power factor correction switching regulator inductors, in-line noise filters, pulse and flyback transformers. There are numerous other applications that require low losses at high frequencies.
Toroidal shapes are available in these materials from 3.5 to 77.8 mm OD. Permeabilities range from 26 to 200 for MPP, 26 to 160 for High Flux and 26 to 125 for Sendust.
